Before June, that date was only a rumour; it turned out to be right. Today you can pre-order on the PlayStation Store or at retailers, at $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the US. When did GTA 6 PS5 pre-orders open?
Rockstar announced pre-orders on 24 June 2026, and they went live at midnight local time on 25 June 2026 Confirmed, ahead of the 19 November 2026 release date. The price and the two-tier edition line-up were revealed at the same moment. The PlayStation Blog published its own post the same day, confirming the PS Store listing.
There is no deadline for pre-ordering as such, but the bonuses below have one: they apply to orders and purchases made before 20 November 2026.
Pre-order bonuses
- Vintage Vice City Pack: included with pre-orders and purchases made before 20 November 2026 Confirmed.
- One month of GTA+: for digital pre-orders, redeemable right away Confirmed. It gives GTA Online benefits and access to the GTA+ Games Library, which includes Grand Theft Auto V.
Where to pre-order GTA 6 on PS5
Two routes are official:
- PlayStation Store (digital). Buy on your PS5 or via the web store. The game is tied to your PSN account and pre-loads from 12 November 2026.
- Retailers (boxed). Major retailers sell a boxed PS5 copy. The box contains a download code, not the game on disc, and it is in stores from 12 November so boxed buyers can pre-load as well Confirmed.
The Rockstar Games Store also sells the game, and some retailers run their own console-plus-game offers (see the bundle page).

Scam warning: how to spot a fake pre-order
The weeks before a Rockstar launch are prime hunting season for scammers. Use these rules:
- Buy only from the PlayStation Store, the Rockstar Games Store or a recognised retailer. Avoid unfamiliar marketplaces, "key reseller" sites and social-media sellers.
- There is no early-access edition. Neither the Standard nor the Ultimate Edition unlocks before 19 November, so anyone selling "play 72 hours early" is selling a fantasy.
- Watch for prices that are too low. A new GTA 6 PS5 code far below $79.99 is a red flag, not a bargain.
- Check the region. A cheap code from another region may not redeem on your PSN account.

- Free up storage before 12 November so pre-load has room.
