Why this site exists
Grand Theft Auto VI is the most-anticipated console release in a decade, and the information around it is a mess. Official announcements sit next to years-old mock-ups, and a delayed date gets copied across a hundred sites without anyone updating the original. This site does one narrow thing: it tracks Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and keeps the facts separated from the noise.
We deliberately do not cover the PC version, the Xbox specifics beyond direct comparison, or GTA Online's current season. One platform, covered properly, is worth more than everything covered badly.
Who writes it
A small independent editorial team of long-time GTA players, people who put hours into San Andreas and GTA V, and who have followed every PlayStation hardware generation since the PS2. We are not journalists with press access and we do not pretend to be. What we have is patience for primary sources and a habit of checking dates.
Which sources we accept
We accept exactly three kinds of source as confirmed:
- Rockstar Games' own channels, the Newswire, official trailers, the Rockstar site.
- PlayStation's official channels, the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Store listing.
- Take-Two Interactive's investor material, earnings calls and financial filings, which is where release windows are often stated first and most precisely.
Everything else, retailer listings, insider accounts, YouTube analysis, "industry sources", is labelled unconfirmed or leak and stays labelled that way, however many outlets repeat it.
How we handle leaks
We report that a leak exists and what it claims, because pretending otherwise is silly when it is already everywhere. We do not present it as fact, we do not host stolen material, and we do not pay for information. If a leak is later confirmed by one of the three sources above, we update the page and change the label.
How often we update
Every page carries a visible last-updated date. Pages tied to a moving fact, the release date, pre-order status, price, are reviewed whenever Rockstar, PlayStation or Take-Two publish something relevant, and at minimum monthly. When a date changes we change it everywhere on the site the same day, including the countdown.
