GTA 6 editions on PS5: what each edition includes

Last updated:

The line-up is official, and it is simpler than the rumours: GTA 6 has two editions, Standard and Ultimate Confirmed. Rockstar revealed them on 24 June 2026 together with the price and the pre-order launch. The Deluxe and Collector's tiers that this page used to track as leaks were never announced. Below is what each confirmed edition contains, what every buyer gets before 20 November, and how to choose.

Confirmed editions at a glance

Edition US price What you get Status
Standard $79.99 Full game Confirmed
Ultimate Edition $99.99 Full game + premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and extra action in Jason and Lucia's story Confirmed

Both editions are sold on the PlayStation Store; retailers also sell boxed copies, which contain a download code rather than a disc. Regional prices are on the price page.

Standard Edition

The Standard Edition is the full game, the version most players buy. If it is ordered before 20 November 2026 it includes the Vintage Vice City Pack, and a digital pre-order adds one month of GTA+ Confirmed. There is nothing missing from the story or the world in this edition.

Ultimate Edition

The Ultimate Edition costs $20 more and adds a premium collection of in-game content Confirmed:

  • premium vehicles
  • weapons
  • apparel
  • additional action tied to Jason and Lucia's story

Rockstar has not published an item-by-item list with numbers, and it has not said whether the extra story action is a mission set or something smaller. Press coverage of the store page mentions unique vehicles and matching revolvers for the duo, but we would wait for the full in-game list before treating any single item as fact Details unconfirmed.

What about a Collector's Edition?

There is no Collector's Edition with a steelbook, map, art book or figurine Confirmed (not part of the line-up). The physical extras that were rumoured before June did not appear in Rockstar's announcement. If you want something physical for your shelf, the closest official items are Rockstar Store merchandise and Sony's limited-edition GTA VI DualSense controllers, announced on 3 September 2026 (PlayStation LifeStyle).

Be careful with resellers offering a "GTA 6 Collector's Box": unless it comes from Rockstar or a major retailer, it is not an official edition.

Will there be an "early access" edition?

No. Neither edition unlocks the game before 19 November 2026 Confirmed. The "play up to 72 hours early" rumour did not survive the reveal. Details on the release-date page.

How to choose your edition

  • Just want to play? Standard. You get the whole game and, before 20 November, the Vintage Vice City Pack.
  • Want extra cars, weapons and outfits from day one? Ultimate, if $20 is worth it to you for cosmetic and convenience content.
  • Buying boxed? The box holds a download code; check which edition the retailer is selling before you pay.

Whichever you pick, tick "edition chosen" on the readiness checklist. The full confirmed-vs-leak picture lives on the home hub.
