Will Sony release a GTA 6 + PS5 console bundle? It is one of the most asked questions of the run-up, and the honest answer is: no GTA 6 hardware bundle has been announced Confirmed (no official bundle). The idea of a Rockstar and Sony bundle is speculation, plausible given how marketing deals usually work, but unverified Leak / rumour. This page tracks where a bundle would appear if it happens, and, more usefully right now, advises on the best timing to buy a PS5 or PS5 Pro into launch.

Will there be a GTA 6 PS5 bundle?
There is genuine reason to expect some form of GTA 6 console promotion, big launches often get one, but as of now:
- No GTA 6 + PS5 bundle is confirmed Confirmed (none announced).
- A Sony marketing tie-in for a game this size is plausible but speculative Leak / rumour.
- Any specific bundle contents, pricing or release timing circulating now is rumour Leak / rumour.
If a bundle does land, expect it to take one of two common forms: a console + game-voucher pack, or a special-edition console with GTA 6 branding. The latter is rarer and usually reserved for the very biggest titles.
Where a bundle would appear
If a GTA 6 PS5 or PS5 Pro bundle is announced, watch these channels:
- Sony's PlayStation Direct store and the official PlayStation site
- Major electronics and game retailers, often with store-exclusive variants
- Seasonal sales events, especially the run into launch
We will list any confirmed bundle here, with pricing, the moment it is official.
The smarter play: buying timing
Whether or not a branded bundle appears, the bigger money question is when to buy your console. GTA 6 launches 19 November 2026 Confirmed, which lands right beside the year's best hardware sales:
- Black Friday 2025 (late November 2025): a full year out, but historically strong PS5 / PS5 Pro pricing. If you want the console early to settle in, this is a prime window.
- Black Friday 2026 (late November 2026): falls just after the GTA 6 launch. Expect heavy console promotion, and possibly a GTA 6 tie-in, but also peak demand and the risk of stock shortages right at launch.
The trade-off: buy earlier (Black Friday 2025) for guaranteed stock and a relaxed setup, or wait for a possible launch-window bundle and accept the demand risk.
PS5 or PS5 Pro for the bundle?

If you are deciding which console to target:
- The base PS5 runs GTA 6 and is the value pick.
- The PS5 Pro is the enthusiast choice, largely because of the rumoured (unconfirmed) 60fps performance mode Leak / rumour. If that matters to you, lean Pro, but know you are buying partly on a promise.
For the full hardware comparison, see PS5 vs Xbox Series X, and for whether the Pro earns its premium, the PS5 Pro deep-dive.
Our recommendation
If you need a console before GTA 6 and want certainty, buy in the Black Friday 2025 window rather than gambling on a launch-day bundle that may not exist or may sell out. If you can wait and a branded bundle would genuinely sway you, watch this page and the official channels into late 2026. Either way, factor in a storage upgrade for the rumoured large install.
